ArmInfo. After genocidal operations in Artsakh, ethnic cleansing, and expulsion of indigenous Armenians, Azerbaijan declared war on Armenian values.
"This time, the Azerbaijanis destroyed the khachkar - a monument to Harut Babayan and Garik Mnatsakanyan, located on Daniel Varuzhan Street in the city of Martakert. It was erected in October 2021 according to the idea and with the personal funds of Harut Babayan's father Rashid Babayan," the message reads.
Late last week it became known that the Azerbaijanis destroyed the khachkar monument erected in memory of Tigran Abrahamyan and his friends who died at the Omar Pass. The khachkar was erected on the territory called Ttu Jur in the village of Aganus, Kashatagh region of Artsakh. This was reported by monumentwatch.org. "Before the Azerbaijani occupation, this was a source monument, and in the center and next to the monument there were 2 khachkars. From the photograph taken after the seizure of the territory, it becomes clear that the khachkars were destroyed, and the integrity of the monument was violated and desecrated with paints," the message noted.
Trees have been massively cut down around the historical spring, located near the village of Aganus, and they are planning to build a recreation area here.
