ArmInfo. France has announced that it will provide additional aid to refugees from Nagorno Karabakh. As stated in the message of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the French Republic, the amount of assistance will be 15 million euros.
It is noted that France continues to fulfill its obligations, which were adopted by the country's parliament on November 30 in relation to Armenia and the Armenian people.
The allocation of an additional 15 million euros will support the work of various NGOs, as well as the ICRC, the Armenian Red Cross and UN agencies in receiving and providing social, medical, educational and financial assistance to refugees from Nagorno-Karabakh as particularly vulnerable groups of the population.
With this new assistance, France's total contribution for these purposes will amount to EUR 27.5 million in 2023. Armenian authorities also received emergency medical assistance, and several victims of serious burns in Nagorno-Karabakh may receive care in French clinics. This support is also accompanied by the efforts of civil society and local authorities of France in favor of the Armenian population, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of France said in a statement.
