Armenian NA speaker not to take part in CSTO PA Council`s meeting

ArmInfo. Chairman of the National Assembly of Armenia Alen Simonyan refused to participate in  the visiting meeting of the Council of the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly, which is scheduled to be held on December 19 in Moscow, Tsovinar Khachatryan, Spokesperson for Parliament Speaker.  

According to her, the delegation of the National Assembly of the  Republic of Armenia will also not take part in the meeting.  "Alen  Simonyan notified the Chairman of the State Duma of the Russian  Federation Vyacheslav Volodin about his decision not to go to  Moscow," Khachatryan noted.

Earlier in a conversation with journalists, Simonyan said that he  would not go to a meeting of the CSTO PA Council. The country's top  political leadership is practically boycotting its participation in  CSTO summits and in its statutory organizations.

These demarches of the Armenian side are due to the lack of reaction  of the Organization to the aggressive policy of Baku.  However, there  is no talk of leaving the CSTO yet.
