ArmInfo. In Skopje, within the framework of the OSCE Council of Ministers, a short conversation took place between the heads of the ministries of foreign affairs of Russia and Armenia, Sergey Lavrov and Ararat Mirzoyan.
According to the press service of the Russian Foreign Ministry, the heads of foreign offices discussed current issues on the bilateral agenda, as well as interaction on international platforms and within the framework of common integration associations.
An exchange of views on regional issues took place. The Russian side has confirmed its readiness to actively contribute to the normalization of Armenian-Azerbaijani relations based on a set of trilateral agreements between the leaders of Russia, Azerbaijan and Armenia for 2020-2022, including reaching the conclusion of a peace treaty between Yerevan and Baku. The demand for further contacts at various levels was confirmed.
Meanwhile, the Armenian Foreign Ministry gave very concise information regarding the Lavrov-Mirzoyan meeting, reporting that Mirzoyan once again presented Yerevan's position to the Russian side regarding Russian policy and the steps taken in the bilateral and regional agenda.
