ArmInfo. At November 23 regular sitting of the NA Standing Committee on State and Legal Affairs, the Committee issued a positive conclusion on the amendments to the laws "On the Consular Service" and "On the Notary" submitted by the RA government in the second reading.
According to the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia Mnatsakan Safaryan, the project is aimed at increasing the reliability of the process of verifying the authenticity of documents, reducing costs and clarifying the circle of persons to whom the consulate can provide notary services.
The project proposes the introduction of e-verify systems and QR codes instead of embossed seals, which, according to the deputy minister, is due to the digitalization of service delivery processes. The beneficiaries of the new bill will be, first of all, compatriots living abroad.
