ArmInfo.Armenia uses the benefits of democracy for its security as well. President of the  National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia Alen Simonyan told reporters on November 16.

He noted that the best way for ensuring Armenian state's security is  its democratism. "We are not going to go anywhere, our goal is to  ensure the security of our country. We are resolving economic issues  with our partners, the Armenian economy is developing, there is  progress in a number of other areas," Simonyan said.

He denied the assertion of the Azerbaijani side that Yerevan is  delaying its response with the fifth package of proposals for  concluding a peace treaty between Armenia and Azerbaijan. "There is  no such thing, and I ask you not to bring the statements of the  opposite side into the agenda," the President of the National  Assembly of the Republic of Armenia noted.

He also stressed that he does not see the goal of establishing  governance institutions for Nagorno-Karabakh in Armenia, since this  will become a direct threat to the security of the Armenian state.  "There is a huge problem related to refugees, which is being solved  by the country's authorities," Simonyan concluded.
