ArmInfo. Artsakh Ombudsman Gegham Stepanyan condemned the collective West of aiding Azerbaijan in the de-Armenization of Nagorno-Karabakh.
Thus, the human rights activist, sharing a sensational photo of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev from a visit to occupied Stepanakert, where he defiantly tramples the flag of the Republic of Artsakh, Stepanyan, in particular wrotein his X pgae: "Rights and security you said? Toivo Klaar (EU Special Representative for the South Caucasus, ed. note) , Charles Michel (President of the European Council), Secretary Blinken (U.S. Secretary of State), welcome your partner in crime!!!"
In turn, former spokesperson of the Armenian Foreign Ministry Anna Naghdalyan, reacting to the desecration of the Artsakh flag by the Azerbaijani dictator, in particular, wrote on her X page: "Reintegration" - Aliyev-style:
Step 1: subject 120K Armenians of Nagorno Karabakh to starvation
Step 2: conduct mil offensive and Ethnic Cleansing of indigenous Armenian population
Step 3: dishonor national symbols and historic heritage of Artsakh Armenians around the world."
Meanwhile, Italian journalist Simone Zoppellaro, reacting to Aliyev trampling the Artsakh flag at the residence of the NKR President, wrote in on his X page: "It is not enough to win a war, make thousands of deaths and an ethnic cleansing. It is important for dictator Aliyev to be filmed and photographed while trampling the flag of a minority he has just erased."
At the same time, American journalist Lindsay Snell, stated regarding Aliyev's visit to Stepanakert that this is perhaps one of the few cases when the Azerbaijani side recognized the fact of the expulsion of all Armenians from Artsakh.
"Azerbaijani journalist posts video walking around Stepanakert and captions it, "Empty, Khankendi without Armenians..." Closest any of them have come to admitting that AZ ethnically cleansed it," Snell noted.
In turn, a Twitter user using the nickname of the Russian mystic of Greek-Armenian origin George Gurdjieff, in particular, wrote: "Aliyev was surprised to see a map of Great Armenia in Arayik Harutyunyan's office. Mentally challenged nomad
Let us add that the footage of the visit of the President of Azerbaijan to occupied Artsakh, and especially Stepanakert, evokes a feeling of disgust in any adequate person. The head of 10 million states behaves not like a statesman and a person leading an entire, albeit authoritarian, state, but like a child with serious childhood psychological trauma. The person who spoke to the whole world about protecting the rights of so-called national minorities, with great pleasure, not only tramples the Artsakh flag, but also does not hesitate to expose these vile actions of his to the whole world. It is one thing when such actions are performed by an ordinary representative of this state due to a lack of intelligence or education, and it is quite another to follow such a behavior of a former graduate student and teacher of MGIMO, it is at least puzzling.
