ArmInfo.Armenia will be represented at the level of deputy foreign minister at the meeting of the CIS Council of Foreign Ministers scheduled for October 12 in Bishkek. Spokesperson of the Armenian Foreign Ministry Ani Badalyan told journalists.
"On October 4 of this year, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia informed in writing the CIS Executive Committee that the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia would take part in the meeting of the Council of CIS Foreign Ministers scheduled for October 12 in Bishkek," she said.
Earlier Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Galuzin said that Moscow is considering the possibility of a meeting between the foreign ministers of the Russian Federation, Armenia and Azerbaijan on October 12 in Bishkek on the sidelines of the CIS summit. "The dialogue between Russia, Azerbaijan and Armenia on the entire range of issues of resolving the Armenian-Azerbaijani conflict has never been interrupted. We hope that such contacts will continue. We are considering the possibility of holding such discussions at the level of foreign ministers on October 12 this year in Bishkek on the sidelines of the summit events CIS," he noted. According to him, the Azerbaijani side has already given its consent in principle. "And we expect that the Armenian side will also approach this issue responsibly and agree to participate in such negotiations," Galuzin added.
