This was stated by Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov ahead of a meeting of the Presidium of the State Council of the Russian Federation. According to him, there are prerequisites for a future peace treaty between Azerbaijan and Armenia.
"The main issue to whom belongs Karabakh has been resolved, significant progress towards a peace treaty has been ensured," Dmitry Peskov said in response to a question from a URA.RU correspondent. The press secretary clarified that Baku and Yerevan can reach the finish line of signing a peace treaty.
He also informed that there are no specifics regarding the opening of the corridor in Artsakh.
Regarding the shooting of Russian peacekeepers by the Azerbaijani Armed Forces, Peskov noted that an investigation is underway after the deaths of Russian peacekeepers in Nagorno-Karabakh. He also stated that the Kremlin had become familiar with information about personnel changes and arrests after the incident.
