The Cyprus Foreign Ministry stated in particular: "Cyprus categorically condemns the ongoing large-scale military aggression by Azerbaijan against the Armenian-populated Nagorno Karabakh. We deplore the loss of lives caused by this utterly unjustified escalation. Azerbaijan must de-escalate now. A ceasefire is critical," they note.
Today Azerbaijan, under the pretext of an anti-terrorist operation, began a large-scale aggression against Artsakh. The final goal of this enemy operation is the abolition of the Artsakh Defense Army and the de- Armenization of the NKR. The Azerbaijani side has already openly stated this. The enemy side has already offered the Artsakh people a corridor to leave Artsakh. According to media reports, the enemy is targeting, including children's institutions, several children (at least 7 children) were taken to the hospital with injuries of varying severity.
Against the backdrop of what was happening, the Prime Minister of Armenia convened a meeting of the RA Security Council. The Armenian Foreign Ministry issued a statement accusing Baku of carrying out ethnic cleansing in Artsakh.
The RA Ministry of Defense made a toothless statement that there is no Armenian Armed Forces in Artsakh, and added that the situation on the borders of the republic is relatively stable.
