ArmInfo. Russian peacekeepers in Nagorno-Karabakh have no authority to use weapons as long as there is no threat to themselves, said Andrei Kartapolov, Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Defense, Interfax reports.
"As long as the peacekeepers themselves are not in danger, they have no authority to use weapons," Kartapolov said, answering Interfax's question about whether Russian peacekeeping forces in Nagorno- Karabakh have a mandate to engage in hostilities.
