ArmInfo. German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock stated that the situation in Nagorno-Karabakh is included in the agenda of the meeting of the EU Foreign Ministers, which is taking place on Thursday in Spain. The Lachin corridor, she said, "should be free for humanitarian aid," TASS reports.
"My French counterpart [Catherine Colonna] and I also put the situation in Nagorno-Karabakh on the agenda. The situation of people there is catastrophic," Baerbock said upon arrival at an informal meeting of EU foreign ministers in the city of Toledo. "We are resolutely calling upon Azerbaijan and Russia, that the people of Nagorno-Karabakh must eventually get what's necessary for life. The Lachin Corridor must be open for humanitarian aid," the head of the German Foreign Ministry stressed.
She specified that the foreign ministers of the EU countries will discuss this issue on Thursday. Baerbock added that discussions have been ongoing for several days with United States to guarantee that the people of Nagorno-Karabakh will receive humanitarian aid.
