ArmInfo. The delegation from France headed by Mayor of Paris Anne Hidalgo arrived in Syunik, where they were met by region's governor Robert Ghukasyan. It should be noted that the delegation headed by Hidalgo brought humanitarian aid for the besieged Artsakh.
"Governor of Syunik Robert Ghukasyan, together with Minister of Foreign Affairs of Nagorno-Karabakh Sergey Ghazaryan and head of the Goris community Arush Arushanyan welcomed Mayor of Paris Anne Hidalgo in Goris," the Syunik Governor's Office reports.
According to press publications, it is also planned to open a humanitarian center in Kornidzor, where all the humanitarian goods intended for the residents of Artsakh have already arrived.
Earlier, the mayor of Paris tweeted: "I am in Armenia with elected officials of Paris and other communities. For nine months, 120,000 Armenians of Artsakh, including 30,000 children, were isolated, starving, deprived of everything. Faced with this humanitarian disaster, we are providing them with emergency assistance. Time is running out." She accompanied this post with a photo with members of the delegation, who, together with her, brought 10 trucks of humanitarian aid from France for Artsakh, besieged by Azerbaijan.
