ArmInfo.A first-of-its-kind Armenian National Youth Forum was launched today at Alexander Spendiaryan Opera and Ballet National Theatre , in which about 600 Armenians from more than 50 countries of the world take part, as well as 100 speakers from more than 15 countries are invited. This year the Forum is held under the slogan "Young for Young".
The Forum will enable Armenian youth to identify shared priorities and work together to develop a roadmap for Armenia-Diaspora youth collaboration and cooperation. Youth organizations and young professionals active in their Armenian communities, engaged with Diaspora-Armenia relations, and eager to work on projects of shared interest will be invited to attend. In addition to invitations, Diaspora youth will be able to submit an application of interest if they would like to participate in the Armenian National Youth Forum.
High Commissioner for Diaspora Affairs of the Republic of Armenia Zareh Sinanyan stressed that the forum is aimed at increasing the mutual recognition and interaction of young people, setting complex tasks, coordinated work to solve them, and searching for opportunities for a purposeful contribution of personal experience, knowledge and abilities.
Famous artists of Armenian origin Serj Tankian, Rosa Lynn and world famous tennis player Karen Khachanov also welcomed the young people in a video message.
Topics discussed at the forum will include issues related to the role of youth, models of interaction with youth, protection of the interests of Armenia, national security, Armenia- Diaspora relations, identity, development of science and education, technological progress, opportunities in the homeland, repatriation and other areas. The event will last three days.
All three days of the Forum will be held in an interactive and inclusive format with panel sessions, discussions, meetings, presentations, workshops, as well as exhibitions, networking and cultural events.
