ArmInfo.Sources in Baku confirmed that Azerbaijan canceled the talks with the authorities of Nagorno-Karabakh scheduled for August 1 in Bratislava. In particular, the Azerbaijani Turan agency, citing its sources, reports that the Azerbaijani authorities refused to meet.
The report notes that earlier Azerbaijan twice invited representatives of Artsakh to Baku for a "dialogue on reintegration", but Stepanakert refused. After that, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev said that there would be no further invitations to negotiations.
It should be reminded that Tigran Petrosyan chairman of the Anti-crisis council under the President of the Artsakh Republic, said today that Baku refused to participate in the planned meeting in Bratislava. "With the mediation of the United States of America and the European Union, the format was changed, and tomorrow a meeting of representatives of Artsakh and Azerbaijan was to be held in Bratislava. This is not the first time that Azerbaijan refuses the meeting without giving a reason ," Petrosyan said.
