ArmInfo.Armenia is ready to open regional transport communications in Transcaucasia on the basis of agreements reached between the leaders of Russia, Armenia and Azerbaijan. Head of the Armenian Cabinet Nikol Pashinyan stated on June 7 during a meeting with Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.
"You have already mentioned the trilateral working group on unblocking economic and transport ties in the region. We can say that quite tangible progress was outlined during the last meeting. I would like to once again express the readiness of the Republic of Armenia to open regional economic and transport communications within the framework of the principle of sovereignty the jurisdiction of those parties through which these communications pass," Pashinyan said.
He explained that it is about communications, which are reflected in the ninth paragraph of the tripartite statement of the President of Russia, the President of Azerbaijan and the Prime Minister of Armenia. "I hope that we will be able to come to concrete decisions," Pashinyan said.
The prime minister also touched upon Russia's business activity in Armenia. "I am very happy that Russian business is doing well in the Republic of Armenia. Last year we discussed how to intensify economic ties, and much of what we talked about has already been put into practice>, the RA Prime Minister said. He noted that there is a large investment activity. "Mutual trade is growing, and this is helping the Armenian economy a lot, we have very good indicators of economic activity," he added.
