In particular, the statement notes that President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan on June 1, within the framework of the II Summit of the European Political Community held in Chisinau, met with President of the French Republic Emmanuel Macron, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz and President of the European advice of Charles Michel. The President of Azerbaijan and the Prime Minister of Armenia reaffirmed the commitment reached in Prague on October 6, 2022 to the Alma-Ata Declaration on the Recognition of Borders. They confirmed that they mutually recognize each other's territorial integrity. They also stressed the importance of the EU monitoring mission for the benefit of Armenia. In conclusion, the parties stressed the importance of introducing a mechanism to protect the rights and guarantee the security of the Armenians of Nagorno-Karabakh.
