ArmInfo.A five-sided meeting has ended in Chisinau with the participation of Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, European Council President Charles Michel, French President Emmanuel Macron, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev.
At 6:00pm Yerevan time, a trilateral meeting with the participation of Nikol Pashinyan, Charles Michel and Ilham Aliyev began in Chisinau, which lasted 10 minutes. Then Emmanuel Macron and Olaf Scholz joined the meeting. The meeting lasted about 1.5 hours. The details of the meeting have not yet been disclosed.
The meeting was held within the framework of the II Summit of the European Political Community Earlier today, at a briefing with journalists, President of the European Council Charles Michel expressed hope that Armenia and Azerbaijan would reaffirm their common political will to normalize relations at the five-sided meeting. The five-party talks in Chisinau are the third meeting between Aliyev and Pashinyan since May. Previously, they met on May 14 in Brussels with the participation of the head of the European Council. This was followed by a meeting between Azerbaijani and Armenian leaders on May 25 in Moscow, mediated by Russian President Vladimir Putin.
