ArmInfo. The European Court of Human Rights, in response to Armenia's appeal, requested Azerbaijan to provide information by June 6 whether the two Armenian servicemen kidnapped by Azeri troops are in Azeri custody as captives or any other status. According to the Office of the Representative of Armenia for International Legal Affairs, in case of a positive answer from Azerbaijan, the court demanded to provide information about their health and detention conditions.
It should be reminded that on May 26, at 7:00pm, communication with two servicemen of the RA Armed Forces (Harutyun Hovakimyan and Karen Ghazaryan), who were supplying food to combat positions was interrupted.
Already on May 27, Azerbaijan managed to accuse the Armenian servicemen who disappeared the day before of terrorism, smuggling carried out by a group of persons by prior agreement, inciting national, racial, social or religious hatred and enmity, illegal transportation of weapons and illegal crossing of the state border. On May 28, in connection with the kidnapping of two Armenian servicemen who were delivering food to combat positions, Armenia applied to the European Court of Human Rights demanding the application of interim measures.
