ArmInfo. Armenia has become the main beneficiary of interaction within the Eurasian Economic Union. Russian President Vladimir Putin stated on May 25 at a meeting of the Supreme Economic Council of the EAEU, held in Moscow.
According to the President of the Russian Federation, cooperation within the framework of the Eurasian Economic Union is indeed progressing quite successfully.
As Putin noted, before the meeting, Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev stated that the main beneficiary of cooperation is Armenia, which is now recording the highest economic growth rate among the EAEU countries - more than 12%.
"Last year, if I'm not mistaken, it was 12.6%, and since the beginning of the year - 12.1%", the Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan confirmed .
"This, of course, is such a serious figure, very serious," Putin said.
Russia, he noted, highly appreciates close partnership with all members of the Eurasian integration association, which is built on the principles of mutual benefit, respect and consideration of the interests of countries.
