ArmInfo.Moscow calls on Bakuand Yerevan to refrain from actions that could lead to escalation of violence. Official Representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova announced on May 17 at a briefing.
She noted that the situation on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border had stabilized. The MP recalled that in the period from May 11-12, there were violations of the ceasefire, but at present the situation has stabilized. "We call on the Azerbaijani and Armenian sides to refrain from provocative actions and escalation of the situation. Russia proceeds from the premise that the resolution of all controversial issues should take place on political and diplomatic platforms and by diplomatic means. We intend to contribute to that in every possible way, including during the trilateral meeting of the Foreign Ministers of Russia, Armenia and Azerbaijan, scheduled for May 19 in Moscow," Zakharova stressed.
