


ArmInfo.Armenia did discuss a possible withdrawal from the CSTO. Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia Mnatsakan Safaryan stated to journalists on May 16. , the Deputy Minister said.
When asked if the issue of withdrawing from the CSTO was on the agenda, the Deputy Foreign Minister replied that at the moment there was no such issue on the agenda. At the same time, he did not rule out this possibility. "Everything will depend on the development of the situation," the deputy minister said, adding that the issue of joining NATO is not on Yerevan's agenda.
"We have repeatedly stated that the CSTO should make a political assessment of the situation in the region. At some stage, these discussions may resume, including on the issue of sending CSTO observers to the borders of the country. We want to increase the security component in all areas>, Safaryan concluded.
