ArmInfo. Head of the European Department of the MFA RA Ara Margarian, took part in the Senior Official Meetings of the Eastern Partnership (EaP) countries in Brussels.
According to the press service of the RA MFA, during the meeting the annual plan of the Eastern Partnership for 2023 was discussed. Representatives of the EaP and the EU countries shared their recommendations and expressed their satisfaction with the programs planned in the work plan. Ara Margarian emphasized the inclusiveness of the EaP programs as the main prerequisite for the implementation of the program.
In his speech, the Armenian diplomat touched upon five landmark initiatives planned for Armenia within the framework of the EaP Economic and Investment Program and their importance for the development of the RA economy in terms of increasing the country's stability. Ara Margarian emphasized the importance of respecting and protecting universal European values in the face of security challenges during the discussion of the agenda item on security and values in the Eastern Partnership region. He reaffirmed the commitment of the RA government to the peace agenda in the context of Azerbaijan's ongoing aggression and touched upon the role of the EU monitoring mission in maintaining stability in the region.
