ArmInfo. "France is undoubtedly the country most committed to protecting Armenians. Our contacts with the two countries are constant to reach a peace agreement," French Foreign Minister Catherine Colonna stated at the French legislature.
Thus, in response to a question from French MP Sarah Tanzilli, when will Paris draw conclusions from the decision of the International Court of Justice, imposing sanctions on those responsible for the blockade of Artsakh and putting an end to the gas agreements concluded by Ursula von der Leyen, which promotes the conspiracy between Putin and Aliyev, Colonna emphasized the need for an open investigation into the sabotage in Nagorno-Karabakh on March 5. She added that the French Foreign Ministry has already demanded that such an investigation be carried out and its results made public.
At the same time, she stressed the necessity of fulfilling the decision of the International Court regarding the unblocking of the Berdzor (Lachin) corridor, restore supplies to the population of Nagorno-Karabakh and ensure access to damaged infrastructure.
She also noted that the West is extremely attentive to the risks of circumventing sanctions against Russia.
"France is undoubtedly the country most committed to the protection of Armenians. Our contacts with the two countries are constant in order to reach a peace agreement and so that the people of Nagorno-Karabakh can continue to live there, respecting their history, their culture and their dignity," she concluded.
