International recognition of Artsakh means of preventing massive  violations of Artsakh people`s right 

ArmInfo. International recognition of Artsakh has always been relevant on Artsakh's foreign policy agenda, the Foreign Minister of Artsakh Sergey Ghazaryan said at a seminar "Imperative of international recognition of Artsakh" on the occasion of the 35th anniversary of the Nagorno-Karabakh  movement.  

He said the legal, political and historical grounds for an  international recognition are more than sufficient. 

At present, the minister continued, the Azerbaijani authorities,  blockading 120,000 residents of Artsakh for 70 days, are attempting  to implement a policy of ethnic cleansing. In fact, this criminal  policy of Baku was confirmed by the decisions of the International  Court of Justice, which recorded facts of hatred and racial  discrimination against the people of Artsakh by the official  authorities of Azerbaijan. In this context, the international  recognition of the republic is a means to prevent systematic and  massive violations of the rights of the Artsakh people. In turn, the  scale of Azerbaijan's crimes against the people of Artsakh, committed  at the state level, the criminal program of ethnic cleansing are  another reason for recognizing the independence of the republic.

Bearing in mind the global geopolitical developments, the minister  continued, and the new legal and political trends that have appeared,  as well as a number of other issues, the problem needs to be  discussed by the professional community. In this regard, the minister  stressed the importance of uniting the professional and lobbying  capabilities of Armenia, Artsakh and the Diaspora.  independence of  the republic.
