ArmInfo.Armenia and Turkey reached an agreement to intensify the work on opening the Armenian-Turkish land border for citizens of third countries. Turkey's Special Representative for Normalization with Armenia Serdar kilic stated.
"Regarding the opening of the border for citizens of third countries, our minister mentioned in his speech that an agreement has been reached to intensify the work around this issue. The two ministers agreed, we will do everything possible to be able to swiftly, in a short period of time, launch the Margara bridge," Turkish special representative said, presenting the results of the meeting of the Armenian and Turkish foreign ministers in Ankara.
He also expressed confidence that the steps taken recently will have a positive impact on the process of regulation of relations in the near future, Armenpress reports.
We also add that the delegation headed by Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan has already arrived in the Turkish city of Adiyaman, where search and rescue operations are carried out by Armenian rescuers.
The Armenian delegation was met at the airport by the coordinator of international search and rescue teams in Adiyaman, diplomat Jeren Yazgan.
After a personal conversation with Jeren Yazgan, Ararat Mirzoyan will meet with Armenian rescuers carrying out search and rescue operations in Adiyaman.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia was accompanied by Turkey's Special Representative for Normalization with Armenia Serdar kilic.
