In this regard, he said that during a meeting in Washington (in September of this year) with the head of the foreign policy department of the presidential administration of Azerbaijan, Hikmet Hajiyev, the option of establishing a separate international mechanism was discussed, which would provide for a dialogue between Artsakh and Azerbaijan on the subject of security and protection of the rights of the people of Artsakh. However, as Grigoryan noted, there is still no specifics on this issue.. So far, there is no clarity on whether the Artsakh issue will be included in the peace treaty between Armenia and Azerbaijan.
The Secretary of the Security Council stressed that Yerevan stands for the formation of security guarantees by a separate mechanism and stands for holding discussions between Artsakh and Azerbaijan.
Speaking about the peace treaty between Armenia and Azerbaijan, Gigoryan stressed that the Armenian side would soon transfer to Azerbaijan a revised version of the text of the treaty.
