ArmInfo. The issue of establishing relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan is at the stage of active discussion. Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan stated this on December 7 during the government hour in the RA National Assembly.
According to him, there is a document in circulation, which is constantly being edited. As of now, Yerevan has received regular official proposals from Baku, after the study of which, the counter offers will follow from Armenia. Unfortunately, the minister stated, the positions of the parties on most issues are still far from each other, but there are negotiations for that, in order to try to bring these positions closer. <The next stage of negotiations has not yet been determined, but I think that another meeting of the foreign ministers of Armenia and Azerbaijan will take place before the end of this year. We are ready for this meeting, the Armenian side is very active in the negotiation process, taking a constructive position>, Mirzoyan said.
The minister noted that Baku constantly falsifies the agreements reached. On October 6, a quadripartite meeting was held in Prague between RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, French President Emmanuel Macron and EU President Charles Michel. At this meeting, an agreement was reached on the next meeting with the participation of all four participants in the Prague meeting, but the Azerbaijani side refused to participate in it in a similar format. " This is a non-constructive step by Baku and as of now, there is no agreement on a meeting between the leaders of Armenia and Azerbaijan," Ararat Mirzoyan stressed.
