ArmInfo. The Armenian leadership has the political will to resolve the Nagorno-Karabakh problem. Russian President Vladimir Putin stated in Sochi on October 31, at the beginning of the meeting with Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.
"We see the approaches of our partners to what is happening on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border and around Karabakh. This conflict has been going on for decades. All the same, it should be ended at some point. I know that you have the political will for this. We strongly support this. We need to find the key points that will allow us to move forward," Putin said.
According to the head of the Russian Federation, one should proceed from the fact that the most important thing is to ensure peace and create conditions for development, including for the Armenian economy. <Unblocking the transport infrastructure, establishing new routes, all these issues are related to the development of the economy and the social sector. Ultimately, this is what we work for. We need to talk about all these issues today. I really hope we move forward. We always proceed from the fact that Armenia is our strategic partner, an ally from the earliest times. This is a special situation for us," Vladimir Putin said.
The President of the Russian Federation expressed the hope that following the results of their meeting, it would be possible to move forward.
