HRD: Human Rights Defender`s Office received applications regarding 40 citizens missing as a result of Azerbaijani aggression 

ArmInfo.The office of the Human Rights Defender received applications from citizens who insist that their relatives and friends went missing as a result of the  aggression by Azerbaijan on September 13. In total, we are talking  about 40 people who can be considered missing. Armenian Human Rights  Defender Kristine Grigoryan told journalists about this on October  20.

She mentioned that during this period, the bodies of 139 soldiers  were handed over to the Armenian side, whose identification was  changed by the number previously announced by RA Prime Minister Nikol  Pashinyan: 30 instead of 29 previously announced by him. It is also  possible that the remains of the dead may be in the territories  occupied by Azerbaijan. According to the  Human Rights Defender Baku  still does not give permission for  search activities.

On October 19, Pashinyan reported in his microblog on Twitter that 29  Armenian citizens were missing during the escalation of the conflict  with Azerbaijan on September 13. According to him, 777 residents of  Armenia went missing during the first Karabakh war, 217 - during the  second. "We hope that Azerbaijan will cooperate in finding out the  fate of our compatriots," the prime ministern said.
