ArmInfo. The delegation led by the United States Senior Advisor for Caucasus Negotiations and OSCE Minsk Group American Co-Chair Philip T. Reeker visited the Tsitsernakaberd memorial complex of the victims of the Armenian Genocide. This was reported by the press service of the Museum-Institute of the Genocide.
Director of the Museum-Institute of the Armenian Genocide Harutyun Martirosyan presented the history of the formation of the memorial complex, as well as the history of three cross-stones (khachkars) installed on the territory of Tsitsernakaberd, which are dedicated to the memory of Armenians who were perished during the ethnic cleansing of the Armenian population in the territory of Azerbaijan at the end of the last century.
Philip T. Reeker laid a wreath at the memorial, after which members of the US delegation laid flowers at the eternal flame and honored the memory of one and a half million innocent martyrs of the Armenian Genocide with a minute of silence.
