ArmInfo.Real political processes have long since been developing in France Square in Yerevan rather than in Armenia's Parliament, Hayk Mamijanyan, a member of the opposition parliamentary faction With Honor, said in an interview with ArmInfo in response to a question about the advisability of convening a special meeting of Armenia's Parliament in the context of the dominant faction's statement that it will not participate in the meeting.
"If our actions had been based on the agenda of the Civil Contract faction, most of Armenia would not have existed long ago. We are acting in line with our pro-Armenian agenda aimed at ensuring the existence of the Armenian state," he said.
Armenia's Parliament will hold a special meeting on June 3 at the request of the opposition factions Armenia and With Honor. The meeting is expected to discuss and adopt statements on the Armenian- Turkish and Armenian-Azerbaijani relations.
The dominant faction Civil Contract has no intention to participate in the meeting. The Civil Contract faction stated it will not "succumb to political blackmail", but will continue defending Artsakh's rights at all levels.
