ArmInfo. Each new meeting of the leaders of Armenia and Azerbaijan will be another defeat for the Armenian side. Tevan Poghosyan, director of the International Center for Human Development, expressed a similar opinion in an interview with ArmInfo, referring to the Brussels meeting of the leaders of Armenia and Azerbaijan.
"The Brussels meeting of the leaders of Armenia and Azerbaijan, Nikol Pashinyan and Ilham Aliyev, cannot bring anything good. The political team that led to the defeat, the losing team cannot lead to any positive results, each new meeting will be another defeat," he said. At the same time, to clarify whether it is possible to achieve a change of power in Armenia through protest actions or whether some other steps are needed, Poghosyan expressed his conviction that everything depends on how the authorities will use it. He recalled the presence of two sides in this situation, and the need to accept the existing reality. "If there is a real protest action that you are afraid of, then why don't you sit at the negotiating table with them? Today, the current Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan is ready to negotiate with the enemy, the man who gave orders to kill Armenian soldiers, conquer Armenian territories, destroy Artsakh, its spiritual and cultural heritage, but at the same time, he does not want to meet with his compatriots," the political scientist noted.
At the same time, according to the expert, the current authorities, who deliberately underestimate the number of participants in protest actions, will not be able to use this factor in negotiations with the enemy. "If they themselves say that there are only 100-200 protestors on the streets now and thus do not use the factor of protest actions, then Ilham Aliyev will also say - quickly sign the contract, why are you delaying?" Poghosyan assures.
Meanwhile, when asked what is the root of the problems that Armenia is facing today , as there are accusations of inaction against Yerevan's ally Moscow, which has led to this hopeless situation., Poghosyan, in particular, said: "Only the Armenian authorities are to blame for all the current troubles of the Armenian people."
