ArmInfo. In the capital of the Republic of Artsakh, Stepanakert, The FUTURE ARMENIAN Development Foundation organized the Artsakh Forum of The FUTURE ARMENIAN initiative, dedicated to the topic "Population Growth in Artsakh".
More than 60 co-authors of the initiative took part in the Artsakh forum - various representatives of the Artsakh society, chosen arbitrarily. The latter comprehensively considered the demographic problems facing the country and expressed their opinion on the sustainable and effective solution of these problems in the long term.
As part of the preparation of the Forum, several meetings and discussions of leading Armenian experts on demography were held, during which several proposals were developed and formulated based on various scenarios aimed at solving demographic problems. This action plan was submitted for consideration and the final decision of the participants of the Artsakh Forum.
The recommendations adopted by the Artsakh co-authors of The FUTURE ARMENIAN initiative during a one-day discussion will soon be presented as a comprehensive package of actions to the relevant state bodies, Armenian organizations and institutions, business circles in the Republic of Armenia, Artsakh and the Diaspora in order to implement them through joint coordinated efforts.
Artak Apitonyan, Executive Director of The FUTURE ARMENIAN foundation, presented the discussion methodology and voting on recommendations. In his speech, he emphasized: "This is a platform for promoting dialogue between different segments of society, where there is no division by education, age or place of residence. "Together they will raise the existing problems, jointly decide on the steps to be taken to solve these problems."
The Forum was attended by Artsakh Republic Resident Arayik Harutyunyan, State Minister Artak Beglaryan, co-initiators of The FUTURE ARMENIAN Richard Azarnia, Artur Alaverdyan, Aram Bekchian and Ruben Vardanyan. Co-initiator of the movement, Noubar Afeyan, made a special video message.
Information: The FUTURE ARMENIAN is a public Initiative launched by private individuals both in Armenia and around the world, which has been able to attract more than 100,000 contributors from 108 countries. In these times of great uncertainty and urgent challenges, the initiative aims to promote dialogue with the wider community on the 15 goals developed by the initiative. As a result of the discussions, it is planned to adopt a package of recommendations to achieve these goals and solve the problems facing the Armenian people.
