In Defense of Artsakh NGO calls on Russian president to expand  Russian peacekeepers` mandate  

ArmInfo.The In Defense of Artsakh NGO strongly condemns Azerbaijan's acts of aggression and provocations, and is calling on the authorities of Armenia and Nagorno-Karabakh to take consistent and decisive steps.

According to a statement by the NGO, taking advantage of the Ukraine  developments, and behind the back of international community,  particularly the Russian peacekeepers, Azerbaijan is implementing a  policy of ethnic cleansing and deportation of the Armenian population  from Artsakh. 

The In Defense of Artsakh NGO demands that Armenia's authorities  apply to the OSCE Minsk Group for intensified efforts to settle the  Nagorno-Karabakh conflict and to the UN for convening the UN Security  Council to discuss the situation and curd Azerbaijan's genocidal  policy.  

"Also, we consider it necessary to request to Russian President  Vladimir Putin as guarantor of the peacekeeping operation in Artsakh  to revise the peacekeepers' mandate for all the possible means of  preventing the provocations and criminal actions by the Azerbaijani  armed forces," the NGO's statement reads.
