Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov stated this on January 14 at a press conference on the results of 2021, referring to today's meeting of the special representatives of Armenia and Turkey in Moscow.
"Turkey and Armenia have really appointed special representatives to normalize relations. Russia helped reach an agreement on the appointment of special representatives. We are very pleased that the first meeting is taking place in Moscow", the Russian minister said, adding that Russia's role in this process is to help establish a direct dialogue.
