ArmInfo."Perfect relations" have been established between Georgia and Armenia. As reported by NEWSGEORGIA, Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili said today before the meeting of the intergovernmental economic commission with the participation of Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan. The meeting of the commission was supposed to take place in 2020, but was postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic and the war in Artsakh.
According to the Georgian Prime Minister, Georgia and Armenia should move from words to real deeds. "We are interested in the very close, friendly cooperation that exists between us to be converted into a positive practice. We should develop close trade and economic relations, talk about regional projects, infrastructure, and other projects that will be of interest to both countries. It is for this purpose that we have gathered today, " Garibashvili said.
The head of the Georgian government thanked his Armenian counterpart for the fact that the meeting of the intergovernmental economic commission is being held at the level of prime ministers in accordance with the initiative and agreement that was reached between the heads of government of the two countries. "This is your second visit to Georgia this year. I would like to note with pleasure that I have already paid an official visit to Yerevan twice this year. And that really points to the close relationship, the cooperation, the goodwill between us. And I want to thank you for this relationship, for this attitude, "said Garibashvili.
The Prime Minister stressed that it was thanks to his close ties with Nikol Pashinyan that "perfect relations" were established between Georgia and Armenia. "It can be said with pride and pleasure that there were no such relations between our countries. Of course, we have always had very close and friendly relations, but we can say that it is thanks to our merit between our governments that there is no misunderstanding between our countries and we have really perfect relations, "Garibashvili said.
