It also said about the unwavering desire to strengthen democracy and the rule of law, and that the protection of human rights and fundamental freedoms remains the main goal of cooperation in the framework of the Eastern Partnership. The leaders of all EU countries and five countries participating in the Eastern Partnership - Azerbaijan, Armenia, Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine - took part in yesterday's summit in Brussels. Belarus did not participate in the summit. Minsk was "represented" by a symbolic empty chair and a flag. Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan represented Armenia at the summit.
