ArmInfo.Former governor of Armavir region, 29-year-old Hambartsum Matevosyan has been appointed Deputy Prime Minister of the Government of Armenia. RA President Armen Sarkissian signed the corresponding decree.
The post remained vacant after Suren Papikyan was appointed to the post of RA Minister of Defense on November 15 this year.
The Cabinet of Ministers congratulated the newly appointed Deputy Prime Minister on his appointment on November 25 at a government meeting. Hambartsumyan, in turn, expressed confidence that he would meet the hopes and expectations of the people. It should be noted that, Hambartsum Matevosyan (born 1992) served as the governor of Armavir since October 16, 2018. On November 24, he was dismissed. Previously, he worked at the American University of Armenia, advisor to the Honorary Consul of Armenia in Ukrainian Donetsk, in 2013-2014 he worked in the position of responsible for the European market at Keramresurs LLC in Donetsk, Ukraine, and from 2011 to 2012 he worked at Grossmont College (California, USA) as International Student Coordinator.
