Politician: Armenia is being offered assistance right now

ArmInfo.Of course, Armenia cannot start the process of delimitation and demarcation of borders with Azerbaijan just like that, at the suggestion of the RF Ministry  of Defense. Commenting on the statement of Prime Minister of Armenia  Nikol Pashinyan on consent to three proposals of the RF Ministry of  Defense, Head of the "For the sake of the Republic" party Arman  Babajanyan expressed a similar opinion to ArmInfo.

"Few people know, but in June this year, a working group consisting  of employees of the Ministry of Defense and the State Cadastre  Service of Armenia carried out work in this direction and presented  the government with relevant proposals. We thought that as a result,  the risks for Armenia were minimized.  However, we are faced with a  situation where we have three proposals from Moscow on demarcation. I  can assume that the working group I mentioned was formed on the basis  of the second proposal of the RF Ministry of Defense, "he said.

Assessing delimitation and demarcation on the basis of the  abovementioned three proposals, as elements that largely determine  the future of the Armenian people and state, Babajanyan forecasted  that this process could play a decisive role in the very future  existence of the Armenian statehood. In this light, the politician  considers it categorically unacceptable to leave the processes  proceeding quickly enough to chance.  Stating that the only country  to which Armenia periodically turns for help is only Russia,  Babajanyan asked about the reasons for the absence of similar calls  from Yerevan to Washington, Paris or Tehran.  Emphasizing the  impossibility of predicting at this stage all the negative  consequences of drawing borders through forceful pressure for the  Armenian statehood, the politician emphasized the irreversibility of  the consequences of this process for Armenia.

"I would like to especially note that the Prime Minister's statement  on the proposals of the RF Ministry of Defense came as a surprise for  the diplomatic corps accredited in Armenia. It is necessary to carry  out consistent work with foreign ambassadors, mobilizing for this  purpose informed political, analytical, expert and public forces. All  this should be coordinated from one center. We are being offered help  right now.  They expressed their readiness to provide tremendous  assistance and support, "he said.  

Babajanyan also considers it necessary to immediately curtail road  construction and other state investments.  All available funds, all  the potential in his opinion, should be directed to solving security  problems in the short, medium and long term. Together with the use of  any diplomatic capabilities of the Foreign Ministry, parliamentary  diplomacy, the Armenian delegation to the OSCE PA, CIS, NATO, CSTO  and PACE, this should give an effect and focus the world's attention  on the consequences of the 44-day war and Azerbaijan's recent  aggression against Armenia.  

"The current silence of Armenia and, accordingly, the world is simply  criminal. The complex challenges and threats formed around Armenia  are not uplifting for one political force. Their solution requires  coordination of national efforts. Armenia needs a respite to  stabilize the situation and strengthen its positions. If we continue  in the same spirit as now, neither our ancestors nor our descendants  will forgive us, "the politician summed up.
