ArmInfo.Recently appointed NATO Secretary General's Special Representative for the South Caucasus and Central Asia Javier Colomina, after his visit to Azerbaijan, also intends to visit Georgia and Armenia. Colomina announced this on his Twitter.
"I will be visiting Azerbaijan, Georgia and Armenia in my new capacity as NATO Special Representative for the Caucasus and Central Asia in order to identify ways to further enhance NATO's engagement in the Caucasus," he wrote.
To note, today he has already held meetings with the military-political leadership of Azerbaijan.
Since 2010, the NATO Secretary General's Special Representative for the South Caucasus has been JJames Appathurai. Upon the expiration of his powers in the fall of 2021, he was replaced by Spanish diplomat Javier Colomina. Most recently, he has also served as NATO Deputy Assistant Secretary General for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy.
