ArmInfo.In order to strengthen bilateral relations with the countries of Eastern Europe and Central Asia, the Spanish government plans to open diplomatic missions in Armenia, Belarus and Uzbekistan in 2022.
According to the Spanish media, this is stated in the draft General State Budget (PGE), in which the Spanish government expects that "a structured dialogue with the countries of the Eastern Neighborhood of the EU and with the Central Asian republics will be promoted within the framework of the new EU-Central Asia strategy."
It is noted that the establishment of diplomatic missions will allow the government to be present in countries where there are no embassies, at a lower cost, and will facilitate the task of the heads of missions who are accredited in several countries at the same time.
According to the report, Spanish Foreign Minister Jose Manuel Alvarez, plans to make 28 trips in 2022, including to Armenia, Belarus and Uzbekistan.
