ArmInfo. Armenia's Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan expressed his attitude to the creation of the regional platform "3 + 3" (Russia, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Iran and Turkey, Ed. note).
Thus, Mirzoyan, in an interview with IRNA, when asked to express his attitude to this initiative, in particular, noted: "Armenia believes that any regional cooperation can be effective if it meets the following conditions:
-The format must be complete and inclusive;
-It should be based on developments that show positive trends in relations between all the states involved.
Otherwise, this may lead to the transfer of existing problems in bilateral relations between states into a multilateral format, which may lead to obstruction of dialogue both within this multilateral format and bilaterally. "
When asked to assess the role of the Russian Federation in recent regional processes, the RA Foreign Minister reminded that, Armenia and Russia are linked by allied relations with a wide range of mutual assistance and obligations. "Russia has played a key role in ending the 44-day hostilities against Nagorno-Karabakh. Currently, Russian peacekeepers are carrying out their mission in Nagorno-Karabakh, maintaining the physical security of the people of Artsakh and restoring normal life. Russia mediates to reduce tensions in the region, resolve humanitarian issues and unblock the infrastructure of the region.
By the way, speaking about infrastructures, it should be noted that neither the document nor in the context of the opening of infrastructures has ever mentioned the provision of a corridor through the territory of Armenia, this is clearly recorded not only from the Armenian side, but also from the mediator - Russia, " Mirzoyan stressed.
At the same time, he recalled that as a country co-chairing the OSCE Minsk Group, Russia, as a mediator, participates in the process of a comprehensive and long-term settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
To note, Azerbaijan, freely interpreting the statement of November 9, 2020, is trying to get a corridor through the territory of Armenia. At the same time, to achieve this goal, Baku does not hesitate to resort to various provocative actions, and periodically threatens to resort to military force.
