ArmInfo.Iranian contemporary films will be screened in Yerevan. Thus, according to the message received by ArmInfo, the cultural center of the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the RA and the National Center of Armenia are holding "Days of Modern Iranian Cinema" the program.
As part of the program, on September 23-25, three modern Iranian films will be screened in the Red Hall of the Moskva cinema. The screenings will be dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Republic of Armenia and the Islamic Republic of Iran.
Admission is free, films will be accompanied by Armenian subtitles.
So, on September 23, the Armenian audience will be shown : Bodyguard (2015), directed by Ebrahim Hatamikia. The director dedicated the film to the commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, General Qasem Suleimani. September 24 - Villa Dwellers (2016), directed by Monir Qeydi; and on September 25 - Night Shift (2014), directed by Niki Karimi.
To recall, on January 21, 2021, director of the National Cinema Center of Armenia SNCO Shushanik Mirzakhanyan and director of Iran's Farabi Cinema Foundation, Alireza Tabesh,within the framework of the Armenian-Iranian cultural cooperation, signed a new protocol of the Agreement on Armenian-Iranian cooperation in the field of cinematography, which has been in effect since 2017.
This agreement provides for various areas of cooperation: assistance in preserving the cinematic heritage, the creation of children's film programs, the development of joint film production, the implementation of bilateral educational programs, the formation of an Armenian-Iranian film market, the distribution of films and participation in bilateral festivals.
