ArmInfo. If the ruling party intends to be guided in its future actions by the adopted program of the government, I am afraid that in the matter of confronting the current and future challenges and threats, we will have to rely on the Lord God. A similar opinion was expressed to ArmInfo by member of the executive body of the social-democratic party "Citizen's Decision" Hayk Sahakyan.
"The very process of discussing the government's 5-year program in parliament turned into a tragicomedy, the participants of which turned out to be quite worthy of each other. As for its content, in my opinion, the program is divorced from reality, and there is simply no solution to existing problems. Just look at the "reformed" Police, which in fact continues to carry out the functions of oppressing citizens and protecting the authorities from citizens. Or to the National Security Service, whose officers continue to study in Russia, which is generally nonsense, "he said.
Returning to the confrontation between the ruling party and the two opposition factions in parliament, Sahakyan noted that in reality these three forces perfectly cooperate in the direction of the disappearance of Armenia as an independent state. And the same parliamentary opposition also bears its share of responsibility for the situation in the country, since it received a mandate of trust from the people. In this light, the politician believes that it is time for parliamentarians to leave each other's collars alone and start looking for solutions, a way out of the situation. He also believes that neither the opposition, nor the ruling force are performing their own functions today.
Expressing his conviction that the opposition has leverage to influence the situation, Sahakyan explained its inaction by the lack of desire to solve the problems of society and the state. In his opinion, the only tasks of the opposition are to paralyze the work of the National Assembly, to destroy the authority of the "Civil Contract" and Nikol Pashinyan personally. In which, in his opinion, there is absolutely no need today.
"That is why these people do not voice proposals, do not look for a way out of the situation and do not even criticize, in fact, the government's program. They are simply trying to place all responsibility on the government. Today everyone understands this. In turn, the government, for example, the same Parliament Speaker Alen Simonyan is doing everything to create tension in the parliament. And he does it quite purposefully. While the ruling force and the opposition are busy with internal squabbles, decisions are made in Moscow and Baku instead of the Armenian parliament, "Sahakyan summed up.
