Azerbaijan`s Defense Ministry denied information from local media about death of Azerbaijani serviceman allegedly at hands of Armenian military

ArmInfo. The Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan has denied the spread rumors that an Azerbaijani soldier was killed allegedly at the hands of the Armenian military near the city of Shushi.

 

According to Azeri Media.az, referring to the Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan, serviceman Khaziev Chingiz Ramin oglu died in an accident in the military unit where he served.

 

"According to preliminary data, the serviceman committed suicide due to family problems. The Ministry of Defense does not disclose the details of the incident, guided by ethical rules. A criminal case has been opened and an investigation is underway," the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry said in a statement. The agency calls on the media not to distort information and not mislead the public.
