ArmInfo. By the decision of Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan of August 25, Artashes Petrosyan was appointed RA Trade Attache in China. "From September 1, 2021, Artashes Petrosyan will be appointed Trade Attache of the Republic of Armenia in the People's Republic of China for a period of 3 years," reads the decision of the Prime Minister, published on the official website of the government.
Previously, Petrosyan was a MP from the "My Step" faction. He was a member of the Armenia-China inter- parliamentary friendship group.
To recall, economist, MP from the "My Step" faction Varazdat Karapetyan took the post of trade attache at the end of November 2020, but did not manage to leave for the PRC. At the beginning of March this year, he was relieved of his post as a trade attache of Armenia in the People's Republic of China (he submitted his resignation in February 2021). "Refusing the post of Armenia's trade attache in China, I understand that now is not the time to go to the PRC, now is the time to stay in our country and carry the heavy burden of this shameful defeat with like-minded people and comrades. We must first of all have our own nation state, national vision, mission, developed strategy, and then think about our relations with others, "he wrote on his Facebook page.
