


ArmInfo. On August 9, Foreign Ministers of Russia and Azerbaijan Sergey Lavrov and Jeyhun Bayramov, discussed topical issues of bilateral relations, regional and international agendas during a telephone conversation.
According to the press service of the Russian Foreign Ministry, the ministers noted with satisfaction the progressive development of the multifaceted Russian-Azerbaijani relations, the steady growth of trade and economic ties.
Mutual disposition to implement the agreements reached during the working visit of the President of Azerbaijan to the Russian Federation on July 20 of this year was confirmed.
A substantive exchange of views took place on various aspects of the implementation of the statements of the leaders of Russia, Azerbaijan and Armenia of November 9, 2020 and January 11, 2021, as well as on ways to normalize the situation in the area of the Armenian-Azerbaijani border. The importance of the early resumption of the activities of the Trilateral Working Group, co-chaired by the Deputy Prime Ministers of Russia, Azerbaijan and Armenia to unblock economic and transport ties in the region, was emphasized.
Issues of further deepening cooperation on international platforms, including the UN, OSCE and the Caspian Five, were considered. It was agreed on further contacts through the foreign ministries.
