"Wings of Tatev": All citizens in the cabin of the cableway above the  gorge have been safely evacuated

ArmInfo. The employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Armenia have safely evacuated all 41 citizens and 2 accompanying persons, who were in the cabin of the  cableway above the gorge.

According to the press service of the cableway , on August 8, due to  lightning and for safety reasons, the cableway  was suspended during  the flight at 3.40pm. All citizens were evacuated at 6.45pm local  time.  Ambulance personnel were also present at the scene.

The press service of Wings of Tatev also reminded that the road was  built by the Austro-Swiss company Doppelmayer / Garaventa, and the  cableway  employees periodically take safety courses and have all the  necessary skills and knowledge in this area.  Yesterday it was  reported that due to a power failure on the "Wings of Tatev" cableway  , several dozen citizens remained in the cabins of the cableway .
