It is noted that on August 6, the Office of the Human Rights Defender of Armenia received reports that the Armed Forces of Azerbaijan were firing from small-caliber and large-caliber weapons in the immediate vicinity of the village of Yeraskh in the Ararat region, as well as in the direction of the village. The village is located at a distance of about 1 km from the Azerbaijani positions. "The shooting, which is being conducted by the Azerbaijani Armed Forces, grossly violates the rights of residents of Yeraskh and neighboring villages. As a result of the fires, residents of Yeraskh and neighboring villages cannot carry out normal agricultural work. The day before, the Armenian Defense Ministry reported that on August 6, at 6:00pm, the situation on the Yeraskh section of the Armenian-Azerbaijani border stabilized after a provocation carried out at noon by the Azerbaijani side. According to the press service of the Ministry of Defense, the fire that broke out in the interposition zone as a result of enemy shelling was extinguished.
